For all my 30A-loving, rosé-sipping gals, you’re going to want to read this post! I’m excited to kick off a summer entertaining series with a handful of easy options you can put together with low stress, just a few thoughtful supplies and your favorite people. It’s really easier than you think to create a memorable moment you, your family and your guests can enjoy. Read on for the first edition, Girlfriends, Gossip + Gose.

As summer cruises through at a bicycle’s pace, I’m doing my best to add something fun to each week. Whether you’re putting in 40 hours in an office, making the summer camp rounds, or just relaxing at home (I think I’m doing some combination of all three!), this time of year is perfect to plan laid-back get togethers with friends and family. I love catching up with girlfriends and every time we meet up, I’m reminded how important these relationships are. We women need our girl time for support, encouragement and, of course, plenty of laughter. There’s no place like a circle of friends to bounce ideas off, unload my struggle of the moment or just reminisce about the good ole days. You know a good friend when you can pick up right where you left off, no matter how much time has passed. These girls have been in my wedding, come to visit my newborn babies and helped with random tasks when I needed it most. They also happen to enjoy a little cocktail hour, so, I thought, no better time to host a happy hour at home than with the launch of the new 30A Rosé Gose.

I’m typically more of the rosé wine type of girl and leave the craft beers to my hubby, but I have to tell you ladies, this beer is must sip. (Gose, in case you’re wondering, is pronounced goes-uh, as in “easy come, easy goes-uh” which is inscribed on the label.) The lovely pink shade comes from a blend of hibiscus flowers and is inspired by our gorgeous 30A sunsets. The taste is a mix of salty and sweet, with a hint of berry notes to complement. Along with the much-loved 30A Beach Blonde Ale, the 30A Rosé Gose are now available in cans, which means it fits right in with your white sand beach day, boat excursions on the water and anywhere else glass might be frowned upon. Not only is it eco-conscious in that regard, but the blush shade makes it pretty tough to beat when it comes to Instagram-worthy beverages.

Because the taste is so light and delicious on its own, there’s really no need to dress it up, however, if you’ve been outside this summer, you probably realize that when it comes to your drink, the cooler the better. I didn’t have the ideal tulip glassware on hand for this little get together, but I brought out my best outdoor glasses to make two tasty concoctions I think you’ll enjoy: 30A Rosé with a Pop and 30A Rosé Sorbet (say that 3 times fast). See below for instructions for each.

30A Mama JR - 30A Rose GoseWhen I posted it over the weekend, I received a flood of messages asking where to find it. If you’re local to 30A, you can always find any of the Grayton Beer lineup at The Taproom, the on-site tasting room at the brewery. Plus, the team has just opened its first food endeavor, the Grayton Beer Brewpub in (you guessed it) Grayton Beach at the former Criolla’s, which you may remember depending on how far back in 30A time you go.
