While I’m typically on board with a good sale, including the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I’m also a major supporter of finding budget items to get the look for less. I love that the NSale gives us a chance to shop new season items at a sale price now instead of having to wait until new pieces are marked down at the end of the season, BUT you have to wait to shop based on your previous spending and I have a hard time relating to the people shopping now who have spent over $15k at ol’ Nordy.
Plus, who wants to wait? There are so many items you can find right now for an even better price than during Nordstrom’s sale.
I know so many people are out of work, working less, working from home or just trying to see where the world takes us, so I totally understand not needing a major shopping spree right now. On top of that, selections seem a little less exciting than year’s past so here’s my advice: If you’re shopping for designer deals, the NSale is a great place to save. If you’re just looking for a few seasonal additions to keep your wardrobe going, go for the steal.
Here are a few pieces to get the Nordstrom look for less right now. No sale required and no wait for your turn to shop.
Blue Sundress: Gal Meets Glam marked down to $99 during the NSale // $33 right now at Abercrombie. Definitely one I would wear now and stretch as long as it’s hot then layer with.
Tan Booties: Vince Camuto Gradino Block Heel Bootie $149 marked down to $99 during the NSale // Steve Madden Alyse bootie $89 right now at Zappos. These pretty much go with anything and the neutral tan will work for ages. Shop the style now without a wait and a few dollars savings.
Chunky Sweater: Free People $108 marked down to $69 during the NSale // $33 right now on Amazon. I bought this sweater in mint last year on Amazon and wore it so much! Super cozy and warm for about half the price.
Leopard Sweatshirt: Gibson tunic $58 marked down to $33 during the NSale // $13 right now at Walmart. Rolling right from quarantine to fall cozy with this sweatshirt and I actually prefer the sleeve style of the cheaper version.
Duster Cardigan: Leith cozy long cardigan $69 marked down to $39 during the NSale // $29 right now at Target. I buy one of these every year – last year I bought a dusty pink — and love this classic camel color. For $10 less, you can grab this with a quick Target pickup.
Orchid Leggings: Alo Yoga orchid high waist leggings $78.90 during the NSale // 90 Degree Tummy Control Leggings $27.99. These leggings in the capri style are some of my most worn and for fall, the full length style comes in over a dozen color options. Vesatile yes, but the major support is the best feature.
Leopard Jeans / Skirt: Kut from the Kloth denim leopard jeans $88 marked down to $59 during the NSale // Blank NYC denim leopard skirt $64 now at Amazon I know this one isn’t truly a look for less, but it’s a super cute option to shop now. I love the skirt and actually wore it paired with a Harry Potter tee last time we went to Universal Studios.
Cropped Denim: Frame Le Sylvie High Waist Raw Hem Crop Jeans $225 marked down to $149 during the NSale // $32 right now at Abercrombie. This cropped flare style is super relaxed and on my fall wish list. As much as I love the designer denim, a good pair of jeans is all about the fit so when a $32 pair works as well or better, jump on it.
I loved putting together this post and searching for steals that make sense to shop now. What do you guys think? What are the items you’d be willing to buy right now?
