Hushed crowds, acoustic songs and talented songwriters mere feet from our heels. Mix in 20ish intimate beachside venues with 150 artists over a three-day weekend in South Walton and the result is 30A Songwriters Festival. Now in its fifth year, this festival is pure magic with a full-on music buzz. We’re already getting our game plan together for this year’s festival taking place January 17-19. A few favorites from past years include Kelsey Anna, The Shuggah Pies, Daphne Willis and Jeffrey Steele, just to name a few. This year our must-see list is HUGE! We’ll be hopping from place to place to pack in as much music as we possibly can and, of course, see what everyone is wearing. Though most venues are indoors, a few including Caliza Pool at Alys Beach, The Boathouse at Watercolor and Hibiscus – The Backyard of Love will be open air outdoors. The weather forecast is chilly (in the 40s and 50s) though not nearly as freezing as temperatures have been so far in January.
