It seems I wasn’t the only one feeling the winter blues (and blacks and browns and greys) of this season and desperately looking forward to warmer weather and fresher fashions. After I posted “pastels with a punch” yesterday, I noticed a few others featuring light, but peppy color palettes in these freezing January days.
Exhibit A: the January J. Crew catalog, full of soft colors and happy hues mixed in with various neutrals, like these fun flats
Exhibit B: Style.com proclaiming they’re feeling candy colors coming on
Exhibit C: The Man Repeller, today featuring a new vocabulary word (I have to say, pastello is growing on me) and a round-up of spring runway looks and “Easter wear at Acne, Louis Vuitton, Christopher Kane and (her) personal favorite Mulberry.”
So you see, it’s not just me. (And by the way, I’m beyond flattered!) There are other cool people counting down to warm Easter-like weather and hatching their spring wardrobe. I say, throw on some sunnies and let’s get our pastel on.
