As the lucky girl (and big kid at heart) that I am, I was asked to attend the VIP opening of the new Le Grand Cirque show taking place outside Destin at Grand Boulevard all summer long. I brought Mom as my date and we had no idea what we were in for! I have to say the whole get-up was pretty amazing. I only had my camera phone so the pictures below leave a lot to be desired. The entry tent was modeled after Moulin Rouge and had such cool displays of sweets, drinks and souvenirs. There was even a huge umbrella display hanging from the center pole. Very Mary Poppins- chic! It’s crazy how big stunts and giant spinning wheels can all fit inside a little tent, but it was breathtaking. All of the performers were so talented and I couldn’t stop gasping at their flexibility and high-flying tricks. I really want to go back to gymnastics class now! The show is only playing for the next few months and I highly, highly recommend seeing it to all you kids and kids at heart!
