Episode Highlights
Following a burning desire
Amy shares how she was a pharmaceutical sales rep climbing the career ladder and was struggling to get pregnant. After IVF and giving birth to twins, she knew she wanted more flexibility to be with her kids and had a burning desire to pursue her dream of being a stylist. From there, Wardrobe Made Simple was born and she hasn’t looked back.
Struggling with the everyday wardrobe
Amy says the majority of her clients struggle with the in between, everyday wardrobe. Dressing in yoga pants or for special occasions is easy. Looking pulled together for casual days as a mom and the everyday routine is more of a challenge. She gives us one of her go-to looks that works for women of all ages and sizes: jeans, white tee and a blazer. Have you tried it?
Appearance isn’t everything
Amy loves to share what she’s working on with her twin girls and enjoys their enthusiasm for passion, but says she also wants them to know appearance isn’t everything and that what’s in your heart really matters most.
Designate a place for everything
Amy talks about taking the extra time to tidy around the house. Make an effort to designate a place for everything so it’s easier to put things away and also easier to grab when you need it — like a kid’s backpack in the morning! She follows the Marie Kondo method and highly recommends this book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up!
